Abbotswood Men (AMEN)

The Abbotswood Men’s group AMEN was set up in response to the success of AWIT – why should the women have all the fun? AMEN is a very informal organisation for the men who live on Abbotswood and the surrounding neighbourhood. The purpose of this group is to provide an opportunity (or excuse) for the local men to meet up for a beer every now and then. Unlike AWIT, we do not organise cultural events - but rather, trips to local pubs to play darts or table football and, on occasions, treat ourselves to a curry night, ten pin bowling or whatever. There is no subscription. See below for programme of events. Just to be clear, AMEN has no religious connotations whatsoever. AMEN simply stands for "Abbotswood Men".
